The Garleans had all but given up trying to annex the forests and mountains she and other Viera called home and calm had returned to the land she kept sentry over. Busty grew increasingly frustrated over keeping watch over a land which was now peaceful and had no need for the number of protectors she had seen while performing her duties. She asked her superiors and the village elders for permission to leave and explore the greater world. Even though she knew most Veena would rather die than face exile or leave their forest homes, she also knew she was the exception; that she wanted to see more than the tiny speck of land they called home.After a lively debate and argument with her superiors, she was grudgingly allowed to leave the village but was warned that even though she would not be exiled, if she returned, she would be treated as a deserter and would no longer have the respect she once commanded as a protector. Busty was adamant in her decision as these feelings had been building up over countless years and she was determined to see the outside world. She packed up whatever belongings she had and during the dead of night, quietly slipped into the forest, out into a brave new world while leaving her home behind. Busty had acquired a map from one the peddlers who rarely entered the forest and though crude, it was enough for her to find her way to a coastline where she followed it, always keeping close to the trees, until she found a small port where she bartered for passage with the small number of belongings she had brought with her. She did not care about the destination, anywhere was good if it was somewhere new.Busty was acutely aware of the fact that she could be taken prisoner or traded to the Garleans, but the risk to her was acceptable considering the rewards that might be gained from leaving home. After talking to fellow passengers and exploring the ship she had boarded, she finally arrived in the port city of Limsa Lominsa, where she was taken aback by how different it was from the home she knew. All the different people, the towering buildings of stone, and the hustle and bustle were all a little overwhelming. After she regained her bearings, she came upon a guard who recognized her as a new face and gave her a brief tour of the city. After her tour, she had learned enough to know she needed currency to make anything of herself in this new land, so she was directed to the Adventurer’s guild where she offered her services.After being employed by the guild for a long time, she was eventually recruited into an organization known as the “Scions of the Seventh Dawn”, a guild that specialized in defeating the menace know as “Primals”, beings brought into this world by the fervent desires and prayers of their followers and enslaves the minds of others to believe the same. Busty has occasional bouts with headaches and visions that appeared out of nowhere and while her village doctors had just attributed it to stress or a lack of eating, the Scions told Busty that she had a gift called “The Echo” and it was bestowed upon people who were chosen by Hydaelyn, this worlds’ deity.Busty was shocked by these developments but at least she now knew why she had such a desire to explore the world and aid all its peoples. Perhaps she had been chosen to become something greater from the start. By joining with the Scions, she hoped to fulfill her life’s purpose, to explore everything and bring succor to the people who needed it. After numerous battles and trials, the Primal menace was understood and finally vanquished. That is when the Scions were called to help on another plane, another version of Eorzea and defeat beings known as Lightwardens, who were trying to push that planets’ existence over the edge and devouring all of creation.With Busty and the Scions help, they were able to save that world and successfully travel back home where yet another threat loomed large…The Final Days. Ordinary people were transformed into hideous monsters and the fear and terror they wrought caused even more transformations. By unraveling the mystery of the final days and even traveling to the moon, Busty and Co. were able to, once again, save the planet and restore the balance between light and darkness. After their latest brush with disaster, the Scions eventually disbanded and the members went their separate ways, helping people in their own way, but ever ready to be called back to service should the need arise.During Busty’s long and storied history, she had traveled to many lands, met many peoples, and even danced on the line between life and death. Even being through all that has not sullied or diminished her desire to explore and see what is around the next bend. Even now, she is always available to expand her horizons and learn all she can, while taking the time to enjoy her experiences and lend a helping hand to whoever needs it. She is taking the lull of activity in stride by learning new skills, making new friends, and even heading out to clubs and letting the music flow through her while she dances the night away.Busty’s story is not yet complete though and she eagerly awaits her next call to action!
